I love my tennis, walking and swimming. I think you get more of a "high" from it. But like all things, I feel there are fashions and learnings that are then taken too far. My suspicion is that "exercise" is also like our diets we need our "macros" - strength training, cardio and stretching - to help bones, heart and muscles/fascia but then there are all the "micros" - good posture, eye exercises, developing smaller muscles that help with balance, pelvic floor etc etc etc - not to mention the sociability side of things too, or getting fresh air and sunlight. I suspect in mid-life we need to shift the ratio of one to another a little bit - hopefully to balance our hormonal shifts - but then we need to keep an eye to the future and see what needs to be set right to live healthily into old age. The issue is knowing what is right for our individual bodies!!

I love walking because it helps me feel better emotionally.
