I finally got my appointment to see a pulmonalogist in December. I was told my O2 level drops too low after a couple of sleep studies. I've been doing the Oxygen Advantage exercises, but would like to try the Expand a Lung device. Thanks so much for the interview and device research. FYI... I just turned 70 and have not used HRT.

Good luck with the appointment. There are also exercises to help open your airway at night, which could be the problem. Hopefully, you'll get answers at your appt.

Maryann,

Would the Expand A Lung device meet the following requirement mentioned by Daniel Craighead: "We have people perform each breath at basically 75% of their one rep max. If you get the cheapest device, it won't go up to a high enough intensity." ?

I feel like I can get very high resistance using it. It's a good beginning in terms of price, and you can upgrade to a pricier option later if desired.

I've never heard of this either, but am very curious. Can you share which device you have been using for years?

I’ve been using the expand a lung device and just got the breather trainer. I linked to both of these.

Wow, I’ve never heard of this before! I went to a German doctor who told me I didn’t breathe deeply enough. They gave me some kind of respiratory test and I was in the low end. Maybe this would be good for me.

Yes I’ve been doing it for a couple years now and have great exercise tolerance and great blood pressure. Lots of promising research!

I went to the Power Breathe website and there are so many choices!!! How does one go about picking the right one for them?!

I think it really depends on what you're willing to spend. You can start off with a cheaper one and upgrade if you like it. I provided a wide range of product.

Thanks so much Maryann! I’m going to do a little more digging to see which one would be a good fit.
