Have you ever come across any information that indicates that low iron can also reduce B12? I’m slowly getting my iron back to normal but my B12 is struggling even though I take quite a high dose as recommends by my doctor. Since low iron has all kinds of knock on effects I wondered if this might be one but haven’t been able to find anything clear about it
I haven't but here's a study showing treating iron deficiency can increase B12. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25959209/ Are you taking any medication that could affect B12's absorption?
No Im not. It’s possible that my measures have been taken when my stress levels were higher. I have an annual physical jn April so will check again then and hopefully showing improved signs as my iron should hopefully be back in the normal range by then
It's maddening that the "low hanging fruit" information is not common knowledge as women in midlife can benefit tremendously from these easy tips. Thank you for putting them all in one place! 🦋
Big thumbs up for the sunrise walks and meeting with girlfriends - I've had the opportunity to do a lot of both over the past week and feel a million times healthier mentally and physically.
